Why SolarFarms.org?

To answer this question we need to consider Human History on Earth, before the Industrial Revolution (late 18 century). In Europe, the shackels of Feudalism were cast aside (for China, the leading civilization for centuries, this transformation took much longer), and new social classes were being formed. The economy was primarily agriculture but people were allowed to own land, if they could afford it. And the concept of a "Free man" existed:

Energy Democracy!

But all that changed in the late 18th century with the advent of the Steam Engine (fuel = primarily coal) which powered the first Industrial Revolution and beyond:

Our impact on the planet has increased dramatically with these innovations, and while we say we have democracy, instead we have become dependent on this system of Energy production and in turn, given up some of our rights. We have become dependent on the energy producers and the choices THEY make for our energy production, and we have no means for making an alternate choice.

Solar panels change all that.

For the first time in 200+ years, we have the possibility to generate all the power we need, individually, as Citizens of the planet. Solar Energy is a Democratic energy source that frees us from shackels of imported Fossil fuels and the decisions of Oil Business and Government. Finally we have the means to change the form of energy we use and greatly reduce our environmental impact on the planet. TRUE ENERGY DEMOCRACY!

With this new choice we enjoy some other benefits:

TRUE ENERGY DEMOCRACY!

There is a catch. Solar energy may never provide 100% of our energy requirements. Perhaps it may greatly reduce our dependence on fossil fuel. Hmm ... is that enough?
